Remembering Mother Cole: Her Life and Legacy
Mother Mamatu B.W. Cole Memorial Foundation (affectionately known as Macole Love Foundation) was founded as a dying wish of our mother and wonderful friend, Mamatu Betty Wolapaye Cole, to carry out her dreams. Mother Cole was also a very loving and compassionate person, two qualities that were driven by her faith in the Gospel and life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Anyone who knew Mother Cole was touched by that love and compassion for others.
Her Dreams
- Expanding the Pastor’s office space at Faith Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, USA
- Establishing a school system in Liberia to provide quality, high standard education to the children of Liberia, beginning with the construction of the first school near Gbarnga, Bong County.
- Providing humanitarian assistance such as food, clothing, shelter and healthcare to those who are in need.
- Above all, sharing the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the LOVE OF GOD, with all people, which Mother Cole committed her life to.

Fulfilling The Dream
To carry out her dreams and impact the world with the love of Christ, Mother Cole’s family, loved ones and friends, founded Macole Love Foundation in 2020 in her honor.We invite you to partner with us to make Mother Cole’s dreams a reality, to the glory of Almighty God. Education
Providing quality and affordable primary, secondary and vocational education to the children and youth of Liberia. This program is implemented through the establishment of Macole Love academies including elementary, junior and senior high schools as well as vocational training centers that provide quality and affordable education.
Humanitarian Aid
Providing food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare to the children and youth of Liberia. This program is implemented through the establishment of Macole Love Centers where community members that are in need can come and receive rations of food, used clothing and temporary housing. The Love Centers also have mini clinics to provide basic health services to impoverished members of the community.
Gospel and Love Christ
Spreading the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the gospel of love which Mother Cole so much embodied during her lifetime. This program is implemented through the teaching of the Holy Bible in Macole Love academies/schools as well as at Macole Love Centers.
Macole Love Foundation
Officers and members of Macole Love Foundation also serve as role models for the Gospel of Christ by espousing a Christian worldview and carrying themselves in a Christ-like manner.
Completed Project
In 2016, Macole Love Foundation donated one thousand U.S. dollars ($1,000) to Faith Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania to support the remodeling of the Pastor’s office. This initiative was in keeping with Mother Cole’s dream for the expansion of the Pastor’s office space at Faith Immanuel Lutheran Church. To God be the glory!
Current Project
Macole Love Foundation plans to break grounds this year for the construction of its first primary school near Gbarnga City in Bong County, Liberia. The land on which the school is to be built was purchased by Mother Cole prior to her homegoing. This will be the starting point of realizing Mother Cole’s dream of establishing a school system in Liberia that will provide quality and affordable education to the children of Liberia.
